We just returned on the boat after a few months cruising in the Bahamas.
It was our shared favorite trip to date. Theres nothing quite like it.
After completing our years of planning and projects, we wanted to reward
ourselves with a few months aboard and experience the Bahamas on an
extended sea trial. The sea trial allowed time to get to know the boat under sail
and make useful adjustments and modifications.
Everyone loves and comments on LOTUS.
Lyle Hessʼ Bristol Channel Cutter seems to be on a lot of dreamboat lists.
The design has a universal appeal and proven stability and ruggedness.
Bluewater popularised for decades by Lin & Larry Pardey as they
circumnavigated.
Such a beautiful boat, Look-Back factor: 10/10
The quality of the gorgeous bronze hardware continues the appeal as you
approach.
Murray Winches and Simpson 2 speed manual Windlass
Bronze portholes, cleats, stantions, blocks,
Classical style with reputed fibreglass construction quality.
Teak rub-rail and bulwarks are currently grey but oil beautifully.
Inside the boat you will find beautiful hardwood, Esmeralda quartzite stone
countertops, new updated systems with a very classical feel. The rebuilt galley
features a new stove, fridge, sink, countertops and drawers. A full 6ʼ v-berth, a settee/berth with removable backrest and a quarter berth as well.
Surprisingly roomy salon especially when the Sapele table is stored upright.
Major systems service including an updated head.
The open plan suites a couple or single handed.
The plans that came together on our trip would have the boat headed to storage for longer than we would like.
So we are looking for a new captain and crew for her.
The boat has had a lot Invested and updated.
A great opportunity to join the BCC and cruising community.
On the Water and Ready for sea trial until May 24th.
I would love to show the boat myself before I leave.
The boat moves to DRY storage on May 24 and will then be listed with a broker.
Asking $ 69,900
